Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic's brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

About the Role

Rugby is the largest manufacturing site within the Britvic group, producing up to 65% of the company's total volume. The factory operates multiple lines across Can, PET, and Aseptic formats, manufacturing leading brands such as Pepsi, 7UP, Tango, Gatorade, and Fruit Shoot.

As a Technical Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of production lines, achieving safety, quality, and performance targets. Working within a multi-skilled and flexible team, you will take ownership of machine operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement to deliver exceptional results.

Role Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor production equipment to achieve efficiency and performance targets.

  • Perform first-line maintenance, preventative checks, and routine diagnostics to maintain plant reliability.

  • Manage and reconcile material usage, ensuring accurate reporting of waste and consumption.

  • Conduct quality and safety checks in line with site standards and complete necessary documentation.

  • Perform product and equipment changeovers within set timelines to minimize downtime.

  • Maintain a high level of hygiene and housekeeping in all operational areas.

  • Support and train colleagues to achieve consistent operating standards across workstations.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and contribute ideas for enhancing performance.

  • Operate forklift trucks and use SAP or other systems to manage inventory and production data.

Experience and Key Attributes
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential.

  • Basic education (NVQ Level II or equivalent) or relevant technical qualification preferred.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently when required.

  • Proven flexibility to work across multiple production areas and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Comfortable working with numerical data and business systems such as SAP (desirable).

  • Shows motivation to develop skills, support others, and contribute to team and business success.
