Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Wellbeing practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of self-harm, suicide prevention strategies, and experience working with young people and or adults. The role involves providing emotional support, practical guidance, and tailored interventions to individuals experiencing self-harm or suicidal thoughts. Experience working with individuals who self-harm is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support and intervention to individuals experiencing problems with emotional wellbeing, self-harm and or suicidal ideation.

Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans tailored to individual needs.

Offer a compassionate, non-judgmental listening service to individuals in suicidal crisis.

Devise, deliver and facilitate a range of groups, including peer support groups.

Deliver preventative workshops and educational sessions to raise awareness of mental ill health, self-harm and suicide prevention.

Work collaboratively with mental health professionals, families, and other relevant services to ensure individuals receive comprehensive care.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of all interactions, assessments, and interventions.

Support individuals in developing coping mechanisms, self-care strategies, and building resilience.

Provide crisis intervention when needed and refer individuals to appropriate services for long-term support.

Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with best practices in self-harm and suicide prevention.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,420.00-£25,696.00 per year
