We are building the UK's next generation AI platform, powered by renewable energy, rooted in sovereign capability, and designed to give enterprises and innovators the compute they need.

*Purpose*
To build and manage the systems, processes, and rhythm that keep the business running smoothly as we scale. This role is at the heart of our operational engine — ensuring everything runs efficiently, compliantly, and consistently. You'll set up tools, codify how we work, and make sure our operations are audit-ready and execution-fit.

It's a hands-on role in a fast-moving start-up where speed and structure go hand-in-hand. You'll bring order to chaos, connect the dots across teams, and enable the company to operate with clarity and rigour as we grow.

Key Responsibilities
Systems & Tools:

  • Own and optimise the core operational stack of technology (Notion, Rippling, Jira, Monday, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Implement automation and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and visibility.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers for leadership reporting and Critical Path execution.

Processes & Documentation

  • Map and document business processes across HR, Tech, and Finance.
  • Build templates, SOPs, and playbooks to drive consistency and accountability.
  • Maintain internal knowledge bases and ensure version control across documentation.

Governance, Compliance & ISO Readiness

  • Support ISO27001 / ISO9001 audits and maintain evidence registers.
  • Manage policy reviews, risk logs, and internal control documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal owners to track audit readiness and remedial actions.

Project Management & Reporting

  • Track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies for key company projects.
  • Run weekly ops reviews and ensure actions are closed out.
  • Provide structure and visibility for the COO / Head of Operations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies and design better ways of working.
  • Roll out lightweight governance, reporting, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence and accountability.

About You

  • Previous proven experience in Business Operations, PMO, or Process Improvement, ideally in fast-growing start-ups, enterprise experience of operational scale is helpful.
  • Exposure across HR, Tech, and Finance operations.
  • Experience in larger enterprise environments is a plus — brings discipline and context to scaling environments.
  • Excellent grasp of modern tools and emerging AI applications for productivity and automation. We are a modern business, we want to be set-up digital from the start
  • Process-minded, pragmatic, and able to translate ideas into structured delivery.
  • Confident communicator who moves fast, simplifies complexity, and gets things done.
  • Detail-oriented but adaptable — thrives in ambiguity and builds clarity through structure.

*Why Join *
You'll be joining a mission-driven start-up building critical national infrastructure, where operational excellence directly enables growth. This role offers high visibility with leadership, real autonomy, and the chance to shape how a next-generation company operates at scale.
