ESTATES TEAM LEAD– BUILDING OPERATIONS
Agenda for Change Band 5: £33,072 - £40,736 per annumPermanent, 37 hours per week
This position will be based at the Borders General Hospital (Melrose) but there will be a requirement to work flexibly across the Scottish Borders region serving acute and primary health care facilities.
NHS Borders Estates & Facilities department has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experience Team Lead to help manage the building maintenance and minor works programmes across the estate.
Ideally with experience in a range of building type disciplines
The successful candidate will have experience in managing during periods of change, be able to work with a high degree of autonomy and have the ability to prioritise competing demands. They will be required to lead a team of in-house trades and external contractors as required.
The person will possess excellent interpersonal skills teamed with good organisational skills, assertiveness and diplomacy; with the ability to use logic to solve problems rationally and effectively and be able to communicate clearly and articulately across all levels.
The person must be willing to undergo training and attend training courses when required.
There is a requirement to work out with normal hours. (e.g. emergency situation)
