Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained consistently. Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently
  • Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
  • Manage food safety protocols, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and control food costs effectively
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with company standards and customer expectations
  • Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks appropriately, and oversee training programmes for new team members
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment adhering to hygiene standards
  • Assist in serving guests during busy periods when necessary, providing excellent customer service

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment, preferably in high-volume restaurants or hospitality settings
  • Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
  • Experience in menu development and food presentation excellence
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including stock control and cost management
  • Previous hospitality experience demonstrating leadership qualities and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £25,943.47-£45,136.18 per year
