We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking multi-disciplinary BIM Lead to drive digital delivery excellence across our multi-disciplinary regional practice teams. This role is pivotal in leading BIM strategy, implementation, and coordination across a range of scales and complexity, to support the delivery of design excellence across all our projects as well as alignment with industry standards and business-wide digital goals. They will also play an important role in the practice management team within their regional practice, support colleagues across the core disciplines to ensure effective and efficient practice operations.

Your purpose:

The strategic responsibilities of this role are shared across the Regional BIM Leads (including BIM Defence Lead and IM Lead) and they include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain a multi-disciplinary BIM Strategy aligned with the OneBD vision, including protocols, templates, and emerging technologies, and ensure alignment with the BD Plan of Work for integrated digital deliverables.
  •  Drive capability and integration by implementing role-specific training plans for effective digital delivery and collaborating across the Infrastructure division to align service line offerings.
  • Support business development and project setup by integrating high-quality IM/BIM content into bids, managing scope and contractual risks, and ensuring client requirements are resourced and aligned with fees.
  • Coordinate resources and strategy by collaborating with Regional BIM Leads to match skills with market needs and drive innovation in digital presentations and bids.
  • Ensure effective resource and delivery alignment by coordinating with Regional Practice Managers, maintaining productivity through efficient resource flow to the GTC, and applying consistent multi-disciplinary delivery plans and tech stacks.
  • Spearhead strategic digital optimisation by aligning practices with global frameworks, embedding standard digital tools, develop.
  • Lead BIM strategy and technical delivery by supporting staff development, ensuring technical assurance, and acting as a key liaison across teams to promote collaboration and consistency.
  • Manage team performance and contribute to wider initiatives through line management, career development, and active involvement in cross-practice efforts like GTC first, ED&I, and wellbeing new solutions, and liaising across teams to support capability and market strategy.

What you can bring:

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience in BIM leadership within multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Proficiency in BIM implementation across all disciplines and project stages (RIBA 0–7).
  • Proficiency in relevant technology stack, including but not limited to Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and BIM 360/ACC.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650, UK BIM Framework, and CDE management.
  • Experience delivering multidisciplinary coordination, federated models, and 4D/5D BIM.
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python) and digital twin platforms.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and align diverse teams toward shared digital goals.
  • Security clearance eligibility (MOD SC level) is advantageous.
