Lancaster, Lancashire, United Kingdom Hotfoot Design Full time £30,000 - £60,000 per year

We're looking for a talented Digital Account Manager to join our award-winning team.

Hotfoot Design is a creative and digital agency based in the beautiful Grade II listed Storey building in the centre of historic Lancaster (just down from the train station, right next to Lancaster Castle), with city views and a café bar on the ground floor.

As an integrated agency, we offer a full range of services under one roof — including brand strategy, brand identity design, website design and development, and marketing campaigns.

Our clients range from iconic brands and global organisations to public sector bodies, growing SMEs and start-ups across the UK and beyond, including Rolls-Royce, Ordnance Survey, the NHS, World of Beatrix Potter, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, St John International, and many others.

The Role

We're looking for someone who is passionate about building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service.

You will be the first point of contact for a portfolio of clients - understanding new requirements, logging and scoping support requests and new work, preparing estimates, agreeing timelines, and ensuring clear and accurate briefs are shared with the team. You'll keep everything moving by coordinating with our project manager, designers, developers and strategists, ensuring projects run smoothly and clients feel supported throughout.

Your role is central to client satisfaction and account growth. You'll listen carefully, manage expectations, provide guidance, follow up proactively, and spot opportunities for clients to benefit from additional support or services.

This is a varied, engaging and people-focused role. You'll enjoy problem-solving, communicating clearly, and building trusted partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for your client accounts, developing strong and trusted relationships
  • Log and scope new requests, prepare cost estimates, agree timelines, and ensure work is briefed clearly to the team
  • Manage and prioritise ongoing support requests from existing clients, ensuring tasks are logged, assigned, and resolved in a timely and helpful way
  • Prioritise tasks and coordinate resource across designers, developers and strategists
  • Run client meetings, check-ins and progress calls, keeping everyone aligned.
  • Use project management tools in a highly organised way to track tasks and timelines
  • Report regularly on progress, ensuring clients and the internal team always know "where things are"
  • Review work before it is shared with clients to ensure clarity and alignment with expectations
  • Follow up with clients to check satisfaction and ensure we are consistently delivering value
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts in meaningful, consultative ways — never pushy, always value-first
  • Help clients achieve their goals by spotting opportunities for optimisation and improvement

You'll Bring

  • Experience in an agency or a similar digital / creative / marketing account management role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational ability, comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities
  • A calm, pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to translate between client needs and internal team workflows
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help clients succeed

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with website or digital project delivery
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms and/or digital marketing workflows

We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Career development and training opportunities
  • Flexible / hybrid working options
  • 36 days paid holidays (including three bonus days at Christmas + public holidays)
  • 1 extra holiday day for every 2 years at Hotfoot (up to 5 additional days)
  • Friday lunches
  • Friendly and supportive team culture
  • City centre studio in a beautiful historic building
  • Regular socials and opportunities to get involved in creative projects
