Are you ready to make an impact at one of London's leading Further Education providers? Capital City College is looking for a skilled Counselling and Supervision Placement Co-Ordinator to support and drive key operational functions, helping shape the future of education in the heart of London.
About the Role
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.
Job Purpose
The Counselling Placement Co-Ordinator plays a vital role in developing and maintaining partnerships with industry stakeholders to facilitate collaboration for work placements, and career development opportunities for Learners. With a specific focus on securing industry placement opportunities, this role involves networking, monitoring & recording, relationship building, and coordinating initiatives to bridge the gap between education and industry.
The Counselling Placement Co-Ordinator acts as a key link between the learners and external organisations, identifying industry needs and supporting students to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and experiences for placements and successful careers.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage with industry partners and stakeholders to source large volumes of placement opportunities.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with employers and organisations to secure a wide range of industry placements for students enrolled in counselling programmes.
- Achieve established targets for the number of students placed into mandatory industry placements.
- Ensure completion of the necessary paperwork, 3-way agreements, health and safety and compliance requirements from the industry placements including procedures in place to safeguard students.
- Collaborate with tutors in the academic department to understand the specific requirements and learning outcomes from all mandatory industry placement components within counselling programmes.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Clear and professional communication skills
Confidence working with systems and processes, including experience of working with external agencies in relation to identifying vacancies and matching these with suitable candidates.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
- Experience in a similar work experience/placement support-based role is desirable
- A strong commitment to student success.
