Regional Operations Manager: Driving Excellence in Rail
Are you ready to take on a leadership role that will challenge and elevate your expertise in the railway industry? This is your opportunity We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Regional Operations Manager, leading driver managers and drivers at our London Euston depot.
In this pivotal role, you'll champion the growth and development of your team, ensuring they have the skills and capabilities to deliver outstanding performance. You'll set and monitor objectives aligned with our strategic goals, driving operational improvements across the region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operational Risk Management: Proactively identify and address operational risks and opportunities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver key projects and initiatives.
- Incident Learning: Lead the implementation of actions from Incident Learning Reviews, ensuring lessons are embedded and applied.
- Compliance & Standards: Maintain RM3 for Safety and Performance, implement Performance Improvement Management Systems (PIMS), and execute Network Performance Board strategies to achieve performance targets.
- Training & Development: Design and deliver training plans for new routes, traction, signalling, and equipment to support upcoming timetables.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Train Planning, Train Services, and Network Rail to ensure seamless operations.
- Industrial Relations: Strengthen relationships with union representatives, develop strategies for effective industrial relations, and create a coordinated framework for local bargaining.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of routes, infrastructure, and rolling stock operated by Avanti West Coast.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build positive, constructive relationships at all levels.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and managing people and processes, ideally within an operational environment.
