Our Digital Media team are looking for an experienced and proactive Paid Media Specialist to join them on a permanent basis from our office in Embassy Gardens, London.

About the team

The Digital Media team sits within the Brand division which houses a number of central areas of specialist expertise who support and work closely with our publishing houses to connect our books and authors with readers. The department includes experts from digital marketing, brand, communications, design, consumer insights, and more.

The role

In this role you will support divisional marketers with planning, activation and optimisation for your own social media, programmatic and paid search campaigns. You will develop compelling omni-channel paid media plans and execute these across a number of paid media buying platforms.

This is a unique opportunity to combine your media planning and buying expertise with first-class analytical skills, adding value to the team through regular reporting and insights that drive effective and impactful marketing campaigns for our Penguin authors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Digital Media team and publishing houses with the development of campaign plans across our paid media platforms, based primarily on commercial objectives.
  • Proactively plan, optimise and execute the developed media plans.
  • Develop compelling omnichannel paid media plans in response to divisional campaign briefs, working collaboratively with our marketing teams to create these.
  • Work across multiple ad manager platforms that provide access to the open internet, paid search and paid social to drive success and growth.
  • Optimise campaigns using the available PowerBI dashboards, in-platform reporting and adhoc Excel exports.
  • Effectively communicate status updates and campaign strategy to internal stakeholders.
  • Share ongoing learnings with the rest of the team.
  • Perform quality assurance checks with campaigns, ensuring that line items and creative have been set up correctly and are delivering across all platforms and devices.
    Learn the fundamental principles of programmatic advertising.

What you'll bring

Essential criteria:

  • Existing hands-on experience with ad managers such as; Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Twitter etc.
  • Proven experience of successfully optimising multi-channel paid media campaigns.
  • Be experienced in implementing A/B testing in paid media campaigns, a commitment to Test & Learn, with the ability to speak to specific examples and use-cases.
  • Be experienced using 3rd party AdTech and digital media analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communicator who can speak fluently to campaign performance and break down complex marketing challenges.
  • A love of all things digital marketing and a strategic, creative, data-driven head for paid media execution.
    Client services experience.

Salary

c.£40,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.

Hybrid working

While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will attend the office 2 days per week (typically Tuesday & Thursday).
