Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1) – Haringey – September 2025

Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1) – What the Role Involves
- Supporting teaching and learning within KS1 classrooms through small-group or one-to-one sessions
- Assisting with general classroom management to help maintain a calm, productive environment
- Providing support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD or SEMH, often in inclusive settings
- Working alongside teachers to plan, adapt and deliver engaging learning tasks
- Delivering targeted interventions to promote progress in foundational literacy and numeracy
Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1) – What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate is proactive, compassionate and committed to fostering positive learning. You'll have excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to grow professionally. A 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university is preferred, along with relevant child-centred experience.

Primary Teaching Assistant (KS1) – Salary and Contract Info
- General TA roles: £444 per week, pro rata, term-time only
- Full-time, long-term contract (September–July), term-time only
- Potential pathways into teacher training or extended placements for exceptional performers
