Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely service
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
  • Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operation
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during service hours
  • Ensure all food production activities meet quality standards and organisational policies
  • Assist in training new team members and fostering a positive team environment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Leadership qualities with the capacity to inspire team members and promote teamwork
  • Experience in menu development, food production, and maintaining high culinary standards
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is highly desirable
  • A passion for culinary arts coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
