Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest services, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred, with a strong focus on food safety and guest satisfaction. The successful applicant will be organised, efficient, and passionate about providing outstanding service.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
  • Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
  • Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to during service and preparation
  • Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
  • Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as required, maintaining cleanliness and organisation
  • Handle guest enquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations throughout shifts
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
  • Manage multiple tables efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
  • Experience in food preparation or kitchen work is a plus
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales
  • Culinary or hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work well within a team and independently
