Reports To: Sales and Development Manager
Type: Temporary to Permanent
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Administrator to join our team at Worktop Fabrications, a UK leading worktop manufacturer. The successful candidate will manage and run the purchasing process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials, maintaining accurate records, and updating supplier prices.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders.
- Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of materials.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to manage stock levels and avoid overstock or stockouts.
Communication:
- Liaise with other departments, such as production planning and finance, to ensure smooth procurement and production processes.
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and payments.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all purchasing activities.
Supplier Price Updates:
- Regularly update internal supplier prices to reflect market changes.
- Communicate price changes to relevant departments to ensure accurate budgeting and cost projections.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a purchasing or administrative role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Sage systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
