We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Assistant based at our HQ in Chorley and reporting to the Purchase Ledger Manager. The key responsibilities of the role are to manage the companies outgoing payment transactions, process invoices and ensure timely payments to our suppliers.

This role is a 12 months fixed term contact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing Receive, check, code and process accurately
  • Reconciling purchase ledger accounts to supplier statements
  • Aiming to resolve any purchase enquiries or disputes
  • Payment processing to suppliers via BACS method
  • Processing Credit Card Expenses
  • Assisting colleagues and suppliers with queries

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Excellent PC skills - excel and in house systems
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential in this role
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Liaising with suppliers and our depot colleagues is required
  • Experience in the Hire industry desirable
  • A people person with outstanding communication skills and a positive can do attitude
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues at all levels as part of a team
  • Problem Solving abilities
