As a Chef at Sodexo in Nuffield Hospital, Parkside, London, you'll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You'll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. What you'll do:

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards
• Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
• Support, guide, and train junior chefs and kitchen staff
• Ensure full compliance with health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, COSHH, and fire safety regulations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
• Ensure stock control and rotation procedures are maintained

What you bring:

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds 706/ 1 & 2 Equivalent and at least 2 years' experience as a chef
• Level 2 Food hygiene certificate ( level 3 would be desirable)
• Allergen Awareness
• Diets cook's certificate would be desirable
• Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for cooking
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen
• Clear, respectful communication and a strong team spirit
• Good communication skills and customer focus
• Good financial awareness
