Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Manager to lead our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for retail management. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage a team while maintaining high standards of merchandising and organisation.

Duties

  • Supervise daily shop operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of staff members to achieve sales targets.
  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and appeal.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring all customers receive a positive shopping experience.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering stock and conducting regular stock takes.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and reporting.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment through effective communication and leadership.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the shop.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for customer engagement.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Experience in merchandising and sales management is preferred.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette and customer service best practices.
