Location: Whitwell S80

Hours: Full-Time – 40 hours per week

Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join our team and support the Home Manager in delivering exceptional care and operational excellence within our care home.

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that residents receive the highest standards of care, staff are supported and developed, and the home remains fully compliant with all regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated care professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the care home.
  • Lead and supervise staff, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times.
  • Assist in managing audits, compliance, and care quality standards.
  • Oversee care planning and risk assessments in line with regulatory frameworks.
  • Promote teamwork and staff development through mentoring and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure CQC compliance.
  • Deputise for the Home Manager when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a care home setting.
  • Hold NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Social Care (or working towards).
  • Alternatively, 2–3 years' experience in a team leader role with NVQ Level 3, working towards Level 5.
  • Strong understanding of CQC standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A compassionate and professional approach to resident care.
