Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Home Delivery Supervisor to manage and oversee the home delivery operations across our group of 20 convenience stores in the UK.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in grocery and food & wine retail, excellent communication skills for dealing with store managers and customers, and the ability to coordinate and improve delivery performance across multiple sites.
This role requires a confident individual with solid knowledge of IT systems, marketing strategy, problem-solving, and customer service, who can ensure that our home delivery service runs efficiently and consistently across all branches.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate home delivery operations for all 20 convenience stores across the group.
- Supervise and support store-level delivery teams to ensure timely, accurate, and customer-focused service.
- Plan delivery routes, schedules, and resource allocation to optimise efficiency across multiple locations.
- Maintain clear communication with store managers, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage customer queries and complaints, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution.
- Monitor and report delivery performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Use IT systems to track deliveries, manage performance data, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support and align with company marketing strategies to promote the home delivery service effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, health & safety regulations, and customer service standards.
- Provide leadership, training, and motivation to all store-based delivery staff.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience in grocery and food & wine retail or delivery operations, preferably across multiple sites.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills to coordinate effectively with managers, teams, and customers.
- Confident in using IT systems, data tracking tools, and digital delivery platforms.
- Understanding of marketing strategy, customer service excellence, and practical problem-solving.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Full UK driving licence required; ability to travel between stores as needed.
