Head dental Nurse

Oradent Dental Care – Rochester is currently looking for a friendly, professional person to join our Dental practice as Head Dental Nurse. We are a Mixed practice, NHS and private patients to the local community.

The practice team is very welcoming and the successful candidate will receive a full onboarding and induction to the practice and team.

The role of head nurse will also include the following

· Full Time,– 42.5 hours pw to be completed between Monday to Friday and Saturdays on a Rota basis + one late night on a pro-rota basis

· Following practice protocols and maintaining excellent infection prevention and control standards

· Responsibility for overseeing, training and supporting a team of dental nurse.

· Working with nurses to undertake and oversee audits and other regulatory tasks

· Ensure CQC, HTM-01-05, GDC standards and requirements are met

· Undertake CPD in line with GDC guidelines

· Working with nurses to undertake and oversee audits and other regulatory tasks

· Undertake CPD in line with GDC guidelines

· Assist with the supervision of trainee dental nurses in the practice.

· Maintain and control stock, equipment and materials

The ideal Candidate will have

· Have a polite and courteous demeanour.

· Empathetic with patients and being part of the complete patient journey.

· Have active GDC registration with up-to-date CPD

· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Fully immunised against Hep B

· Undertake CPD in line with GDC guidelines

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday

· Saturdays (reduced hours shift, not every week)

· Late eve clinic till 7pm (not every week/on pro rota basis)

Ability to commute/relocate:

· Rochester: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

· Highly competitive hourly rate from £ £12.00 ph depending on experience.

· Additional annual leave day for every year of full service

Experience:

· Dental Nursing: 3 years (preferred not essential)
