Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Finance & Operations team. This is a high-visibility role that combines hands-on operational responsibilities with fund accounting expertise.

The successful candidate will act as a senior point of accountability for all fund financial matters, manage key external relationships, and drive continuous improvement across reporting, systems, and processes. This role is ideal for an accomplished fund finance professional with experience in operations from a private credit, private equity, or fund administration background who is ready to take on broader leadership and operational responsibility in a rapidly growing investment platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Fund Management & Oversight

  • End-to-end ownership of financial control and reporting across multiple senior lending, private credit, and/or asset-backed funds
  • Support the co-ordination of monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, ensuring timely delivery of NAVs, investor reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings
  • Act as the approver of third-party administrator outputs (e.g., IQ-EQ), setting quality standards and driving accountability for accuracy and responsiveness
  • Oversee valuations, management fee calculations, carry allocations, waterfalls, and complex structuring elements

Operational & Financial Control

  • Provide senior oversight of treasury activity including liquidity forecasting, cash management, and capital activity (calls/distributions)
  • Ensure robust reconciliations across bank, loan, fund entities, and intercompany balances
  • Provide technical guidance on deal structuring, investment closings, loan fundings, and transaction accounting
  • Strengthen the firm's financial controls, documentation, and risk management processes

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Liaise with administrators, auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and other service providers
  • Support investor communications, queries, and reporting obligations
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Investments, Legal, and Operations

Process Improvement & Team Leadership

  • Contribute to automation, process optimisation, and system enhancement initiatives
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the Finance & Operations team

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • 5–8 years' total experience, including 2–5 years post-qualification
  • Background in fund operations and fund accounting, , ideally within private credit, private equity, or fund administration
  • Strong technical accounting skills (UK GAAP / IFRS)
  • Experience managing external administrators and service providers
  • Excellent Excel and system skills; familiarity with fund accounting platforms (e.g. eFront or similar) a plus
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills
