Balloo House Care Home are currently seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team.

The main duties include:

*Leading and organising residents medical needs.

*Keywork and manage residents care demonstrating effective person centred practice.

*Support and motivate staff, delegating tasks and manage staff effectively.

*Creating planning and organising care plans.

*Liaising with multi disciplinary teams on behalf of the resident.

*Working with families, NOK and building strong working relationships.

Previous experience in a care setting is essential.

  • Strong leadership skills to guide care staff effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with residents and colleagues and members of the multi disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of RQIA care practices and procedures.
  • Willing to work towards a level 3 health and social care qualification.
  • Minimum six months experience as a senior/team leader in a care setting (desirable but not essential, we welcome applicants with a managerial background in other sectors.)
  • Is competent in administering medication and aware of the importance on current medication policies and correct procedures.
  • Staff training and development opportunity including completion of the level 5 leadership and management in health and social care.
