Balloo House Care Home- Care Assistant-Nights

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our night shift team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a home from home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in your care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, serving meals , and maintaining residents independence.
  • Follow individual care plans to ensure that each resident's specific needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and progress.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Document care provided and any changes in residents' conditions accurately and promptly.
  • Support residents in engaging with social activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.

Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
  • Basic IT skills for documentation and communication tasks.
  • A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Full time and part time nights available , 8pm-8am.
