Business Development Manager

Job Duties:
As a Business Development Manager in a retail store, your primary role is to drive growth, increase revenue, and expand the customer base. Key responsibilities typically include:
- Sales & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute strategies to increase store sales and profitability.
- Identify and target new customer segments and market opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Handle high-value clients and ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Conduct market research to understand trends, competitors, and customer behavior.
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies to attract new customers.
- Partnership & Networking:
- Build partnerships with local businesses, suppliers, or organizations.
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and exhibitions to represent the store.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the store manager, marketing, and operations teams to align goals.
- Train and support retail staff in upselling and cross-selling techniques.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track KPIs and prepare regular reports on business development performance.
- Adjust strategies based on performance data and feedback.
2. Key Skills Required:
- Sales & Negotiation: Ability to close deals, upsell products, and negotiate with clients and vendors.
- Market Awareness: Understanding of the retail landscape, customer preferences, and competitors.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for pitching ideas and collaborating.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Focused on enhancing the customer experience and satisfaction.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data and make informed strategic decisions.
- Leadership & Initiative: Take ownership of business development efforts and lead initiatives.
- Time Management: Efficiently prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and targets.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Weekend availability
3. Qualifications:
Educational:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- A Master's degree (MBA) is a plus but not always required.
OR Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in retail, sales, or business development roles.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a retail environment.
Experience working in multi-brand or large retail formats is advantageou
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £38,500.00-£40,500.00 per year
