We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Compliance and Integrity Manager to join the University's Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Service (RIKE).
The post holder will work closely with the Associate Deputy Director (RIKE) and across the Service to provide a comprehensive and coordinated high level support for research compliance including research integrity matters and government legislation.
The successful candidate will lead a team in identifying and mitigating risks related to international collaboration, ethics, integrity and enhancing assurance in line with UK legislation and funder requirements.
Managing a critical function in Trusted Research, Ethics, Integrity, and security compliance, you will be required to support the Senior Staff within RIKE in formulating policy and guidance to ensure the University of Huddersfield's compliance with UK Export Control and security legislation. You will also monitor legislative and funding compliance for international research collaborations within a global context.
With experience of working in an academic environment or within the Higher Education sector, you will have knowledge and experience of monitoring policies and how to implement them within the work setting. Excellent communication skills and a clear awareness of the key challenges in the higher education sector relating to research ethics, integrity and trusted research activities are essential.
A degree or substantial equivalent experience relevant to the role is required.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties). Up to two days per week can be worked from home, following successful completion of the induction period which is office-based.
