An international law firm with a strong London presence is seeking a Real Estate Finance associate to join it's expanding team. The firm is recognised for its cross-border capacity, collaborative culture and ability to support clients across the full lifecycle of complex real estate investments and financings.

The Team

You'll join a well-regarded REF practice known for advising lenders and sponsors on high-value transactions across the commercial, residential, hospitality and logistics sectors. The group works seamlessly with complementary teams (including corporate, funds, tax and restructuring), providing an integrated service for clients ranging from major financial institutions to real estate investors and global corporates.

The Work

The role offers exposure to a broad range of financing structures, including:

  • Senior and mezzanine loan arrangements
  • Investment and development finance
  • Cross-border and syndicated facilities
  • Portfolio acquisitions and refinancing
  • ESG-linked and sustainability-focused lending products

You can expect early responsibility, direct client contact, and involvement in matters that frequently involve multi-office coordination.

Key Requirements

  • 2–5 years' PQE
    within a strong banking, real estate finance, or broader finance practice
  • Solid experience drafting and negotiating LMA-style documents
  • A clear understanding of real estate asset classes and the commercial drivers behind financing transactions
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder-management skills
  • An interest in working across borders and managing complex, multi-party deals
