Blackstone Private Wealth

Blackstone Private Wealth was established to answer the growing demand for Blackstone products from high-net worth investors. Partnering with many of the world's largest private banks and wealth management firms as well as family offices, Blackstone's Private Wealth team packages and delivers the full breadth of Blackstone's alternative product capability to these firms and their clients and provides ongoing product and advisor support, as well as education and training around alternatives.

The DC Pensions Product Strategist will focus on both product development and product support, with a specific emphasis on Defined Contribution (DC) pension solutions. The role will support initiatives across EMEA, ensuring alignment with client needs, regulatory frameworks, and market trends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of Defined Contribution (DC) pension solutions in partnership with EMEA distribution channels, ensuring alignment with client retirement objectives, portfolio requirements, and market demand.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle for DC pension structures, from concept through to launch, ensuring adherence to all relevant EMEA regulatory frameworks and jurisdictional constraints.
  • Anticipate and influence regulatory change by monitoring retirement and pensions legislation across EMEA, engaging with relevant trade associations to shape industry dialogue.
  • Align global strategy by partnering with US Product Strategy teams to ensure consistency, knowledge sharing, and scalability of DC pension initiatives across regions.
  • Collaborate across business functions, including Marketing, Sales and Investor Services to support DC pension initiatives.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years in investment banking, asset management consulting, or a related field, with an exposure to DC pensions or retirement solutions required.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to write effectively, with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with DC pension markets, securities, investment strategies, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Understanding of retirement plan structures and client needs across EMEA.
  • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment across multiple geographies.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person client engagements (in a post-COVID work environment).
  • Foreign language skills (e.g., French, Italian) are a plus but not required.
