Mintel is seeking a Principal Strategist – Economics to join our Research & Insights function. This is a senior, high-impact role for an economics authority who can shape forward-thinking perspectives and represent Mintel's voice globally.

About the Role

As Principal Strategist, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to global clients, translating complex economic trends into actionable foresight.
  • Deliver keynote presentations, executive workshops, and client webinars.
  • Represent Mintel publicly through conferences, media commentary, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop proprietary content and influence syndicated insight strategy.
  • Partner across Commercial, Consulting, Marketing, and Insights teams to amplify impact.

  • Improved client retention and growth through strategic engagements.
  • Increased Mintel brand visibility as a leading expert on economic policy and consumer markets.
  • Thought leadership that shapes industry conversations.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years' experience in economics and consumer research.
  • Proven track record in thought leadership and strategic foresight.
  • Strong commercial awareness and client-facing experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with executive presence.
  • Ability to forecast trends and guide strategic thinking.
  • Collaborative, proactive mindset with confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
