Overview

BigWigs Bakery is looking for an Experienced Prep Chef to work in our Tuckton site. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a busy kitchen and have a commitment to food safety and quality. As Prep Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing products to be sold across 5 sites and have the opportunity to contribute to new product ideas.

We pride ourselves in curating a great work environment and offer competitive salaries, dependant on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing products ranging from smoked brisket to croque monsieur's.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Daily packing of orders to be sent to our other sites.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, complying with food safety regulations.
  • Work with the wider back of house team to maintain a clean and tidy workspace.

Experience

  • Knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A passion for cooking, creativity in menu development, and dedication to high-quality food preparation.
  • Experience in a busy commericial kitchen is essential.

Pay

  • £ £13 per hour depending on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.25-£13.00 per hour
