A leading housing association is seeking an experienced
Change Communications Lead
to shape, deliver and embed a strategic approach to communications across a major transformation programme. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping colleagues understand, adopt and champion new ways of working that will improve services for residents.

Working at the heart of a busy transformation environment, you'll collaborate closely with programme leads, senior stakeholders, IT, PMO and internal communications teams to ensure clear, engaging and consistent messaging. This is a hands-on strategic role ideal for someone who can simplify complex information, build trusted relationships, and deliver high-quality content that drives adoption and behavioural change.

The Role

As the Change Communications Lead, you will:

  • Develop and deliver a strategic change communications plan aligned to organisational priorities and values.
  • Shape stakeholder engagement plans and messaging across multiple workstreams, ensuring communications are simple, action-led and impactful.
  • Produce high-quality communications, toolkits and materials to support leaders in engaging colleagues with new systems and ways of working.
  • Work in partnership with internal communications to ensure alignment across all channels.
  • Create and maintain a rolling three-month engagement plan and a quarterly key-messages playbook.
  • Build positive relationships with senior leaders to ensure coordinated engagement across the transformation agenda.
  • Deliver engaging content across channels including intranet, newsletters, events, workshops and briefings.
  • Track and report on the impact of communications through monthly dashboards.
  • Identify and mitigate communication risks and remain up to date with best practice in change comms and employee engagement.

About You

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience leading change communications within complex organisations, ideally with frontline and hybrid workforces.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced programme environment.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear and accessible content.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, cultural awareness and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience in the housing, public or not-for-profit sector (desirable).
