Rotherham Virtual School is seeking a dedicated and skilled Early Years professional to champion developmental and educational outcomes for Children in Care.

Working closely with the Early Years and Primary Virtual School Headteacher, you will ensure that children in care (CiC) receive high-quality early education, timely intervention, and consistent support as they transition into primary school.

We're looking for a committed and experienced Early Years professional to join Rotherham's Virtual School. You'll work closely with our Virtual School Headteacher to improve outcomes for our Early Years children in care, ensuring they receive high-quality provision and the support they need to flourish developmentally, academically, socially, and emotionally.

You'll:

• Lead Early Development Plans/Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings, ensuring plans are ambitious, meaningful, and focused on holistic development.
• Promote attachment-aware and trauma-informed approaches, helping practitioners respond to the impact of early adversity.
• Collaborate with families, carers, and professionals to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions into Reception and Key Stage 1.
• Work with nurseries, childminders, and early years settings to embed inclusive practice.

What we're looking for:

• A passionate advocate for early education and development.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, early intervention strategies, and child development.
• Experience supporting Children in Care or vulnerable young children.
• Understanding of SEND and inclusive strategies for early years.
• Confidence in leading multi-agency meetings and casework.
• Commitment to listening to the child's voice and promoting their sense of belonging.
