In line with our growth strategy, AtkinsRéalis in the UK & Europe region, have an opportunity for an Assistant / Consultant Level Health & Safety Consultant within our London office. The opportunity will be supporting our successful London based Health and Safety consultant Team whilst developing your own career as a Health and Safety consultant in the construction industry.

Your role
  • CDM Advisor services on a range of different sized projects
  • Providing CDM and PD Advisory services to clients on a range of different sized projects
  • General health and safety consultancy services to clients
  • Health and safety support as part of bids, including supporting writing bid documents
  • Supporting colleagues with health and safety expertise where required
  • Developing existing and new clients as part of our 'win work' strategy
  • Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organisation's policies

Your Qualifications:

  • Possess a NEBOSH National / Construction Certificate
  • A member of APS, or working towards
  • A Technician / Graduate level member of IOSH or IIRSM equivalent with a desire to work towards Chartered Status
  • A relevant design or construction related qualification (preferred but not essential)
About you
  • Experience and knowledge of applying the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and general Health and Safety legislation and guidance
  • Demonstratable knowledge of safety in design
  • Experience of delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor services
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to prepare / present emails and documents, demonstrating a good understanding of the written and spoken English language
  • Competent report writing
  • Flexible to travel across AtkinsRéalis client locations
  • A valid driving license is essential and a car
