Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare and early childhood education to make a positive impact on young lives. The Nursery Practitioner will work closely with colleagues to implement educational programmes, foster children's social skills, and ensure their well-being is prioritised at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's development across all areas including social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ensure the nursery environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
  • Support children with behavioural management in a caring and constructive manner.
  • Assist with organising outings and transporting children when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Uphold all policies related to safeguarding, health & safety, and child protection.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage positively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Level 3 Childcare qualification.
  • Valid driving licence is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a nurturing approach. This role offers an enriching environment for those committed to fostering young children's growth while developing their own professional skills within a supportive team.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£12.30 per hour
