Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. You will lead a team of practitioners, ensuring that all children receive the best possible start in their early years. Your expertise in early childhood education and your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Lead and support a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the individual needs of each child.
- Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for all children in your care.
- Collaborate with external agencies when necessary to support children's additional needs.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership skills within a childcare setting.
- Extensive experience working with children in a nursery or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in English, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for potential off-site activities or training sessions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00 per hour
