We are Potters Bar Town FC, a community based Step 3 semi-professional football club in Hertfordshire looking to add a new voluntary Match Day Reporter to our team in order to produce the best possible content online for our supporters and further the awareness and identity of the club.

Our X account grew the more than any other club in our division last season, and our YouTube account doubled in subscribers, and we're hoping to expand our team to continue to build our fanbase and provide excellent content to our current supporters.

Our media volunteers are able to attend home and away matches for free, and volunteers at the club have gone onto secure jobs in media roles, including at Sky News. It is also a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in football media.

JOB TITLE:
Match Day Reporter

LOCATION:
Potters Bar Town FC, The Lantern Stadium, The Walk, EN6 1DP

JOB TYPE:
Voluntary role assisting where possible at games on Saturdays and on Monday or Tuesday nights

JOB PURPOSE:
Giving live updates from our games which feeds back to the league and Football Webpages system, which is seen by thousands of people.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Update the FAS Match Day app (which we will teach the successful applicant how to use) with our team sheet, and live match day updates.


• Depending on availability of our media team, you may need to run the PA system and play music over the tannoy system


• Post updates of matches on social media where required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:


• Strong attention to detail and adaptability


• Understanding or willingness to learn social media skills

• Fast learner who is able to adapt a strategy based on content engagement rates


• Able to work using your own initiative and as a member of a team


• Happy to work effectively under pressure and be resilient
