Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom Waracle Full time £40,000 - £60,000 per year

Waracle are looking for a Lead Delivery Manager for an exciting new role joining our world-class digital technology consultancy and home to a diverse, smart, curious and ambitious community of specialists in technology-driven transformation.

We work with ambitious clients to help them solve their biggest business and customer challenges. We help our clients to innovate and create intelligent digital products and services. We thrive on complex challenges and deliver business-critical IT transformation projects, moving seamlessly from strategy, design and delivery to operations.

This is a Hybrid role working from any of our UK offices 2 days a week.

Are you a strategic leader who excels at orchestrating large-scale, complex client engagements? Do you thrive on navigating challenges and fostering environments where cross-functional teams not only meet aggressive product goals but set new standards for excellence? As our Lead Delivery Manager, you will be a pivotal leader, operating as a trusted advisor and thought leader, driving sustained delivery across diverse, ambitious projects. If you're ready to align diverse stakeholders to a common vision and continuously elevate delivery through advanced metrics.

Key aspects of the role include

  • Strategic Delivery Leadership:
Orchestrate large, cross-functional teams, align multiple squads, and manage dependencies and risks to deliver complex product goals. Ensure sustained delivery pace and leverage advanced performance metrics to drive improvement and influence client decisions.
  • Team and People Development:
Ensure consistent coaching and mentoring for team members. You will be key in maintaining safe, collaborative environments, actively addressing conflict, and ensuring knowledge is consistently shared across all teams.
  • Client and Commercial Management:
Align scope, budget, and contracts to ensure successful commercial outcomes in collaboration with your teams.
  • Conflict Resolution and Alignment:
Navigate team and client conflict to resolution using sophisticated techniques. Resolve organisational or cultural issues impacting multiple teams and collaborate with mixed stakeholder groups to align them to a common vision.
  • Practice and Process Evolution:
Inject perspective into the Delivery Community of Practice (CoP), guiding the evolution of the Waracle Delivery Playbook. Lead knowledge sharing and ensure delivery standards are defined, documented, and aligned with our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy

What you'll bring

We are looking for a collaborative, insightful leader ready to contribute to an inclusive and innovative environment.

  • Proven experience operating in scaled delivery frameworks (e.g., LESS, SAFe) to align multiple product teams.
  • Expert-level ability to define bespoke, effective delivery approaches for diverse client environments.
  • Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to provide thought leadership on nuanced delivery subjects and actively contribute to the practice both internally and externally.
  • Expertise in conflict resolution and the ability to act as a trusted source of support and reason in resolving critical delivery-related issues

The recruitment process you can expect for this role is an initial call with your dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner who will chat with you about Waracle, what you are looking for in a new position, the salary for the role, notice period and benefits (the important stuff).

After that, you'll be invited to a two-stage interview process where you have an opportunity to find out more about the role and showcase your skills and experience. Your Talent Acquisition Partner will guide you through the whole process to your first day with us.
