Claims Technicians

Job Purpose:
The primary aim of the role is to assist our external clients with managing the claims process, and to provide internal and external stakeholders with all relevant assistance and information around claims to ensure an efficient claims and policy experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client communications - dealing with incoming communications (primarily via email but occasionally through calls, letters etc.) from our clients and other stakeholders,
Data entry - collate relevant information from incoming communications and other sources to meet set data requirements and raise entries to internal systems in accordance with established data standards as well as wider market systems
Claims management - dealing with various stakeholders in a claim file (loss adjusters, lawyers, underwriters, brokers, finance etc,) to manage the progression and expectations of a claims file across complex multi-layered insurance placements encompassing multiple policies at the same time.
Loss information - providing details both from objective established data points and providing accurate file assessments to key stakeholders (Claims Manager, brokers, clients and markets) to support discussions around policy changes/renewals
Claims assessment - review information relating to coverage and value assessments of claims against policy details and contract agreements to support fair claims settlements in the best interests of clients and support the Claims Manager in discussing contentious claims with stakeholders.
Time and Diary Management - working as part of a team manage multiple complex claims and associate d information requirements to internal SLAs and the best interests if clients.
Key Requirements:
Ability to analyse and identify key information
Effective communication skills especially being able to adapt detailed written information for the relevant audience
Decision making skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
A knowledge of insurance and general principles of various types of insurance is desirable
