Summary
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and compassionate SENCA to join our Inclusion Team. This role supports the Zone Lead and Head of Inclusion in delivering high-quality provision for learners with additional support needs. You will play a key part in ensuring statutory processes are completed on time, supporting referrals, coordinating student voice initiatives, and improving inclusive practice across our setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, experience with SEND/ASN processes, and a passion for supporting young people.
Key Responsibilities
Annual Reviews & Support Plans
· Prepare and complete annual review paperwork for students with additional needs.
· Attend review meetings with the Zone Lead and tutors.
· Record outcomes and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
EHC Applications & Diagnostic Referrals
· Lead or support the completion of Education, Health and Care (EHC) applications.
· Manage ADHD/ASD referral processes, including gathering evidence and liaising with external agencies.
Quality Assurance & Provision Mapping
· Monitor provision maps and support plans to ensure high quality and timely completion.
· Track deadlines, identify overdue reviews, and follow up with staff as required.
Consultation Management
· Respond to internal and external consultations within the required 15-day period.
· Work with recruitment officer/zonal lead to ensure inclusion materials are in place once placement has been agreed
Student Voice & Mental Health Initiatives
· Oversee Mental Health Ambassadors, providing coordination, supervision, and training support.
· Support the College Council, ensuring student voice is actively represented in inclusion development.
Support for Leadership & Inclusion Development
· Assist the Zone Lead and Head of Inclusion with operational and administrative tasks.
· Contribute to inclusion projects, data collection, reporting, and improvement planning.
Professional Development
· Participate in regular CPD related to inclusion, SEND, mental health, safeguarding, and relevant legislation.
· Share learning and support the wider team through upskilling opportunities.
