A career without limits

As the nation's flag carrier, we take great pride in connecting Britain with the world and the world with Britain.

It's something we've been doing for over 100 years, ever since we launched the world's first international scheduled air service between London and Paris.

This originality has been in our blood since day one. It's the spirit we share with the people that fly with us, our partners, and our colleagues.

So, whether you are a reassuring voice on the end of a phone, a smile at the door, under a wing keeping the turbines spinning or landing us gently in far-flung places, a job at British Airways is yours to make.

We know great things can happen when you're inspired to think big and bring your ambition to work every day, which is why, at British Airways the sky is never the limit.

The Role: Communications & Engagement Executive, Flight Operations

Are you a talented communicator with a passion for aviation?

  • Translate complex operational and technical details into clear, engaging messages.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications and engagement activities, using insights to improve impact.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, supporting crisis communications when required.
  • Work independently as the primary communicator within your directorate, while collaborating with the central communications team.

What you'll bring to the team is a strong ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and presenting verbally to wide ranging audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Viva Engage, and various intranet tools is desirable, along with a positive and proactive approach, you'll demonstrate resilience even in the most demanding situations.

As our new team member you will be skilled at planning, prioritising and managing multiple projects with efficiency, whilst bringing creativity and flexibility to everything they do. Your collaborative nature helps you build strong relationships and influence stakeholders effectively. You also keep yourself well-informed about current affairs and maintain a keen awareness of both our internal environment and the wider business landscape.

Your experience

  • Proven experience in crafting and executing communication plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Skilled in creating engaging content and managing stakeholder relationships.
