Job Description – Baby & Pre-School Teacher

We're seeking an enthusiastic person to join our fantastic team to teach our popular Baby and Pre-School classes for children, aged 0 to 5 years.

  • 5.6 weeks holiday pay and a bonus scheme is also in place from April 2025

Essentially you will be

Able to commit to work every Sunday during school term times 39 weeks of the year as a minimum, with scope to potentially take on more weekday, weekend or evening regular sessions and casual cover opportunities on an ad hoc basis.

Ideally you will be

  • Swim England or STA Baby and Pre-school Level 2 qualified
  • Lifesaving qualified
  • Have a positive can-do attitude, reliability
  • Willingness to undergo further paid training
  • A flexible approach to working

If you don't have a teaching and/ or lifesaving qualification we can help you to source it and will cover the full cost of the qualifications* should the instructor continue to teach at Puddle Ducks for a minimum of 2 years.

The STA Baby and Pre School course runs in January on the 26th (zoom), 27th (zoom) and 30th (in water) 2026 in Stone

Also a Lifesaving course will take place on the 6th of January 2026 in Stone (in water)

The Puddle Ducks training consists of 15hrs of e-learning modules (completed at home) and a 2 day practical session on two consecutive Saturdays in Chester in early Feb (date tbc)

Puddle Ducks provides all lesson plans, equipment and uniform.

This is a part-time role, hours are available on Sundays and more sessions will be available on application.
