We are open to upping this role to a full time position if the successful candidate holds a national pool lifeguard qualification, or is willing to take the course (all costs will be covered by us).

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 swimming teacher to oversee daily operations at our swimming pool in West Kirby (Calday) .

This role is vital in ensuring smooth and safe activities while supporting our mission to promote aquatic sports and community well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all swimming lessons and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Coordinate schedules for Swimming teachers
  • Assist in managing swimming classes and training sessions.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and equipment safety.
  • Support the implementation of health and safety policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to pool users.
  • Lead emergency response procedures when necessary.
  • Collaborate with management to improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Level 2 swimming teacher
  • Proven experience in sports coaching or aquatic supervision.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to swimming pools.
  • Ability to handle emergency situations calmly.
  • Preferred: Previous experience as a shift supervisor or team leader.
  • Certification in lifeguarding or first aid is advantageous - but not essential.

  • Ensure that you have a large enough, consistent and varied pool lesson program (child/adult) with enough participants to achieve pool revenue targets
  • Provide a consistent and varied pool programme that match the needs of our customers and encourages repeat usage and high levels of member recommendations
  • This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, which we'll organise.

  • Level 2 Swimming Teacher (essential- or equivalent experience) with extensive experience of delivering 1:1 and group swimming lessons (child/adult).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £14.50-£15.50 per hour
