We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Position for days and nights shifts
- Assist residents or clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
- Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's or client's needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, clients, and their families through effective communication and empathy.
- Support the emotional well-being of individuals by providing companionship and engaging them in social activities.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Drive to various locations if required for home care services, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- Proficient English language skills for clear communication with residents, families, and team members.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with residents and their families while working collaboratively within a team.
