Financial Analyst (Process improvement) - Financial Services

Miryco is currently partnering with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a
Financial Analyst
to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a good grounding in finance who enjoys improving processes, optimising systems, and getting the most out of financial data.

The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of finance processes, ensuring robust financial controls, and helping the business make better use of data and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, improve and document existing financial processes and controls.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain process improvements to enhance reporting and accuracy.
  • Support automation initiatives within the finance function (VBA and Excel skills highly beneficial).
  • Collaborate with finance and wider business teams to implement best practice controls and reporting tools.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of financial systems and data management.

Key Requirements:

  • 3–5 years' experience in a finance or data-focused role (Finance Analyst, Financial Controls Analyst, Financial Data Analyst or similar).
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, data flows, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills; VBA experience would be a strong advantage.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and translating financial data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in driving process improvement.
