About The Role

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and brand performance across our international distribution network. You'll manage and develop distributor relationships, build strong commercial plans for each territory, and work cross-functionally to deliver successful launches and market execution. This is a pivotal role in shaping Cambridge Audio's global presence, combining strategic thinking with hands-on commercial drive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop commercial relationships with distributors across assigned territories, ensuring aligned goals and strong performance.
  • Drive regional sales results, delivering targets while building long-term growth and healthy profitability.
  • Build territory strategies and go-to-market plans that maximise product launches, visibility and dealer engagement.
  • Support distributors with product knowledge, training, brand messaging and in-market execution.
  • Identify new opportunities in existing and emerging markets, improving coverage and reach.
  • Provide insight on market dynamics, competitor activity and pricing to guide commercial decisions.
  • Work with marketing, product, operations and technical teams to deliver coordinated support to distributors.
  • Ensure brand standards, commercial agreements and service expectations are upheld in all territories.
  • Represent Cambridge Audio at international meetings, events and market visits to strengthen partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in international sales, preferably within the consumer electronics or premium audio industry.
  • Strong understanding of distribution models and international market dynamics.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and account management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, commercial approach to delivering results.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with sales reporting tools.
  • Skill in prioritisation of time and efforts to achieve maximum short and long-term profitability from your allocated accounts.
  • AI-receptive and keen to learn and use tools that increase efficiency and effectiveness, and free time up to focus on things that will move the needle.
  • Team player. Keen to help others and share best practice. Open and communicative.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Open and receptive to taking on more.
  • Drive and ambition to deliver success.

Like most sales roles at this level, this is not a "9-5" job and is therefore not for everyone. It requires travel, flexibility, work outside regular hours and drive on your part to deliver success. Going the extra mile to drive, meet and exceed your sales numbers and business plan progress in your markets is a part of the job.

Working Pattern & Duration

This is a full-time permanent role.

Location – Remote/Hybrid (UK Based)

This role is ideally based at our London HQ for an agreed number of days a week, with WFH realistically forming a large part of your working time. The ideal candidate will live within reasonable commuting distance of London Bridge.

That said, we may be open to applications from outside London IF you are willing and able to travel to London as and when required, and you demonstrate to us in your application a compelling reason that you are the right person for this role, and you are within a +1 hour time zone difference.

Compensation

Competitive salary, based on experience.

Benefits (if London-based)

Health & Wellbeing

  • Subsidised private healthcare (50:50 contribution).
  • Annual wellness benefit pot covering 50% of life-enriching activities.
  • Annual life-enhancement training allowance.

Time & Flexibility

  • Charity volunteer days – 3 per year to support a cause of your choice.
  • 4pm finish on the last Friday of every month.

Social & Culture

  • Regular socials organised by our "Director of Fun."
  • Annual team trips to surprise destinations.
  • 50% off gigs and festivals with our "Passion for Music" benefit.

  • Colleague suggestion scheme to shape the way we work.
