Carpet Roles UK are excited to be assisting their clients, a highly regarded and creative Carpet Manufacturer, renowned for its innovative design and quality in their search for a Technical Support Specialist to ensure that our clients provide their UK team and customers with excellent technical awareness of the properties of their range as well as advising on their Installation
The Role is a key element in our clients philosophy of excellence and sustainability and encompasses offering technical knowledge and support to both our clients own Sales Team and to the end user Contractors that install the products:
Supporting sales team with installation/fitting expertise at the stage of offer for complex projects.
- Supporting fitting companies with proper communication on features / particularism of our clients carpet, glues, tools, double cuts etc
- Point of liaison through the concept of our clients Academy and Training Centre both in EU and here in the UK.
- Presence in person to assist / start sensitive fitting in person on site, upon Sales Managers requests.
- First contact in case of claim, liaison with our clients Quality Department (EU based).
Ideally from a similar Technical support background for another Manufacturer or a current Contract Fitter looking to change direction and utillise your experience the role as we see it requires the following additional skills:
- Expertise in textile flooring fitting, with actual "hands in the pie" experience.
- Minimum 2 years commercial installation experience (Broadloom / Tiles).
- Capability to work with plans / layouts, no need to master special software such as Autocad but fine with basic IT tools like Outlook, SharePoint…
- Team player
- Adaptability in communication with different types of profiles, from fitters to end customers (users, owners, investors…) sales team and Customer Service both in the UK and at their European Base.
- Compiling reports as and when required on Quality or Installation issues.
- Face to customers, warrant of Company image : excellent presentation
- Fine with travelling across UK and to EU time to time.
- 37 hrs per week:
- Mon to Thu - 9am to 5pm and Fri 9am to 4.30pm (30 min unpaid break for lunch).
- Flexibility around project deadlines.
- Expenses paid travel to Europe when required.
- Collective bonus equal to one month salary, paid if Clients achieve financial year target turnover.
- 25 days annual leave (plus Bank hols). 3 days to be reserved for Christmas shutdown.
