Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food production, ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role requires a blend of creativity, culinary expertise, and the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment while ensuring high standards of performance.
  • Develop and implement menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimise profitability.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated team management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of food production techniques and culinary practices.
  • Proficient in food preparation and cooking methods across various cuisines.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with effective communication skills.
  • Previous restaurant experience is essential; experience in high-volume kitchens is preferred.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences through creativity and attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.38-£15.00 per hour
