Summary

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team at The Hopetoun Practice in Edinburgh City Centre. Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients with professionalism and empathy.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient records.
  • Handle phone inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
  • Support billing and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication.
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in office or administrative roles, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency with office software and appointment management systems.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on patient service.
  • Prior experience in medical reception is advantageous but not essential.

The working pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 12pm to 6pm but must be flexible to cover shifts between the hours of 8am and 6pm when required. GP medical reception experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be given. 6 weeks annual leave plus 8 PH.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.48 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
