Role Description

This is a remote, part-time role for an
Investment Banking Intern
. You will support financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis for transactions and strategic initiatives across the energy and materials sectors. Responsibilities include assisting in due diligence, preparing financial statements and pitch materials, conducting industry research, and supporting senior analysts in evaluating mergers, acquisitions, and capital-raising activities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to support valuations, scenario analyses, and transaction structuring.
  • Conduct research on companies, markets, and macroeconomic trends to inform investment strategies and presentations.
  • Prepare pitch decks, investor presentations, and client briefing materials.
  • Assist in due diligence processes and data collection for ongoing transactions.
  • Support senior analysts and associates in deal execution and portfolio monitoring.
  • Communicate findings through concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions).
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and capital markets.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Python, R, or SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (advanced studies a plus).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Interest or experience in the energy, materials, or infrastructure sectors is a strong advantage.
