12-Month Internship: Intern – Chief of Staff Office
Are you ready to take the next step in your career and work at the heart of a dynamic banking environment? Natixis CIB UK Branch is looking for a motivated intern to join the Chief of Staff Office for a 12-month internship.
About the role
You'll support the evolution of the Natixis CIB UK Branch by coordinating and driving cross-departmental initiatives aimed at strengthening our operating model and resilience framework. You'll work closely with business lines (Investment Banking, Real Assets, Global Trade & Coverage), 1st and 2nd Line of Defence teams, and senior management.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse first line risk indicators (KRIs), risk assessments and trending data for potential heightened risk areas; escalate as needed.
- Coordinate monthly control campaigns and associated quality assurance activities.
- Oversee and challenge the effectiveness of first line controls, working closely with CIB supervisors and senior management.
- Monitor risk events and ensure timely closure of remediation plans.
- Assist with maintenance of UK Branch policies & procedures, and help align with global minimum standards.
- Support the Branch resilience framework: monitor supplier/ provider performance, business continuity topics, supervision infrastructure, etc.
- Provide business management support to UK banking business lines (process monitoring, ad-hoc strategic studies, document procedures).
- Assist in coordinating responses to external/internal requests (regulators, audit, compliance).
- Contribute proactively to non-financial and financial risk control frameworks and process improvements.
What we're looking for
- Had exposure to a Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and strong analytical ability: able to draw meaningful conclusions from data.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; confident working under time pressure.
- Autonomous, well-organised, detail-oriented, and curious with a genuine interest in business/risk/controls.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity.
