Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to lead and manage volunteer programmes within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers to support various community initiatives. Duties

  • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies through various channels, including social media management and community outreach programmes.
  • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, training, and ongoing development to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Supervise and support volunteers, providing guidance and recognising achievements to foster motivation and retention.
  • Organise volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for our rota & events.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to volunteer records, attendance, and feedback collection. DBS checks & compliance & Health & Safety.
  • Maintain positive relationships with community partners, corporate companies, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven supervising experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate diverse groups of volunteers.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous administrative experience including record keeping and report writing.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to community service and organisational values. This role offers an engaging environment where your leadership can foster positive change within the community while developing your professional skills in a supportive setting.
